We are a coalition of radical born-agains from inter-denomitational fellowships who love the challenge of street ministries and understand the need for mutual encouragement and hands on experience. All are welcome to join our street exploits under the guidence of our leader c hillman. we meet weekly at various locations throughout London east, gracing the community with His presence, anionting, preaching, testimonies, miracle healing services, praise & worship, tract distribution, scetchboard & other vehicles to propogate the message of reconciliation to God. Mid-week Pub Bridge Builder (Thurs eve 7.30-10pm)
The AA does a great job helping to wean alcoholics off their liquid poisons but only Jesus can break the power of addiction setting a person truelly free ! Herein is the differenance: a dry alcoholic would never enter a premises selling booze let alone a pub, they would avoide it like the plaque for fear of drinking again. A saved, healed and delivered alcoholic like myself is true'ly set free to reach those who need the Saviour regardless of location and social standing.Some years ago i recall proposing a mid week outreach to the local community watering hole/pub to the shock and horror of the team members...."we cant go there. were christians....its a demonic enviourement..i dont know if i can handle the temptations..." where just some of the replies from this young team, so the bridge building exercise to make new friends around the pool table, gain their confidence and invite them to special in-house initiatives was put on the shelve for a season. Religion can unfortunatly get the better of the best sometimes ? But when you know evangelist's who were led to faith in a pub or at a rave, the love of Christ does the rest....while religion still makes its pious excusse's behind the shield of fear, fretting about what other christians might think or say.... we can declare that "Your love is the compase of my heart" (Delirious) not church concensus. Amen.
